At the Ramon Durano Foundation Home for the Aged, lessons learned from two modules of the Caregiving NC II and Healthcare Services NC II, namely, Elderly Care and Hospice Care, are being demonstrated. The students showed genuine care while fulfilling their duties of supervising, assisting, and supporting the residents of the home. Their passion and commitment manifested the essence of a true Caregiver and Nursing Aide.

From this expression of self-giving, we learn that there is more to being a Caregiver and Nursing Aide than a job. Wholehearted sacrifices can be made by pursuing a career in the fields of Caregiving and Healthcare. Wonderful experiences of fulfillment, pride in our work, and the honor in serving our society’s citizens are all rewards of a job well done. In order to make these sacrifices, it is important to continuously enhance and improve one’s skills as a Caregiver and Nursing Aide.
